Partnering With Others

Outreach Programs

Tesoros de Dios envisions a Nicaragua where individuals with disabilities have full access to inclusive schools, churches, and communities through continued collaboration and intentional partnership.

Our Outreach Program has three components:

Collaboration with Schools

We walk alongside private and public schools around Nicaragua, offering support as they include children with disabilities into their schools. 

Location: Managua, Matagalpa, and any other department that requests support

Serves: Tesoros de Dios’s students that assist regular schools and students that assist schools associated with Tesoros de Dios. 

Services Offered:

  • Workshops on topic related to Inclusive Education
  • Support with elaborating Individualized Educational Plans and Behavior Plans
  • Offer formal evaluation
  • Coordination between special education program of Tesoros de Dios and the schools
  • Support with transition to further education, and vocational
  • Connect the school with other services that Tesoros de Dios knows about or have collaborated with

Collaboration with Churches

Seeing the need of churches in Nicaragua to know how God truly views people with disability, we walk alongside churches so that they can have the information and tools needed to best include people with disabilities into their congregations. 

Serve: Tesoros de Dios’s students and any other churches interested. 

Services Offered:

  • Workshops for the church related to disability. 
  • Promotion in the church to visit the individual with disability in their home. 
  • Creating an Inclusive Ministry within the church.
  • Elaborating Inclusion Plans for specific individuals in the church, alongside the Inclusive Ministry. 

Collaboration with Communities

We are able to reach out to more individuals with disabilities around the nation with this component of our outreach program. Through this collaboration, we partner with other organizations and ministries, and visit communities to raise awareness in the community. 

Serve: Population in general

Services Offered:

  • Workshop to raise awareness to the community.
  • Formal Psychological Evaluations, physical therapy evaluations, and speech evaluations
  • Home-visits 
  • Connect with other services that Tesoros de Dios has collaborated with, or is collaborating with.
